AREA SENSORS

NA1-11 Series
Small / Slim Object Detection Area Sensor

The NA1-11 is an area sensor that utilizes a unique cross-beam detection method to accurately detect small and thin objects. With a wide 100mm sensing height, as well as a 1m length detection distance, this sensor can be used in a wide range of possible applications. The sensor thickness is a mere 10mm, providing simple mounting due to the lack of space necessary for integration. A convenient high visibility, 55mm indicator is integrated on both the emitter and receiver. One transistor output is provided (available in PNP or NPN).

NA1-5/PK5 Series
Ultra-slim Body Picking Sensor
The NA1-5/PK5 series of bin picking sensors is perfect for preventing errors due to incorrect part picking during assembly or packaging operations. Human error is reduced by incorporating a large, bright LED indicator bar that can be configured to illuminate or even blink to show the operator which bin they are supposed to use. Long operation is possible at up to 1.2m; and at only 10mm thick, installation will not obstruct picking operations.

Also, mounting up to two sets of sensors side by side is possible without any mutual interference. This is useful for multi-tier shelving units. Lastly, sensor protection brackets are available to eliminate damage due to tools or other objects.

NA1-PK3 Series
Compact Size Picking Sensor
The NA1-PK3 series of bin picking sensors is perfect for preventing errors due to incorrect part picking during assembly or packaging operations. Human error is reduced by incorporating a large, bright LED indicator bar that can be configured to illuminate or even blink to show the operator which bin they are supposed to use. At only 10mm thick and 70mm tall, installation is possible in even the smallest bins.

Also, mounting up to three sets of sensors side by side in the same vertical plane is possible without any mutual interference. This is useful for multi-tier shelving units. Lastly, sensor protection brackets are available to eliminate damage due to tools or other objects.

NA2-N series

General Purpose & Slim Body Area Sensor
The NA2-N series of area sensors provides a general-purpose detection solution with a wide range of sensing heights (140mm - 540mm). They have a 20mm beam pitch and offer a sensing range of up to 5m. With an ultra-slim body of just 13mm, mounting has been greatly simplified. A large 102mm indicator is integrated into both the emitter and receiver for high visibility of output status. Furthermore, the emission frequency can be modified to prevent mutual interference when two sensors are mounted in close proximity with each other. One transistor output is provided (available in PNP or NPN).

SF1-F Series
20 mm (0.787 in) Beam Pitch Individual Beam Output Area Sensor
Using a separate control board, each beam channel can be output individually. This is particularly useful for a variety of applications such as discriminating the size of traveling objects, or for sensing their position.

A narrow 20 mm (0.787 in) beam pitch offers high sensing performance. It is able to detect a minimum 30 mm (1.181 in) diameter opaque object. The SF1-F series is reduced in volume with only 40% the cross-sectional area of a conventional model.

There are eight types of sensors having a sensing height from 140 mm (5.512 in) (8 beam channels) to 1,260 mm (49.606 in) (64 beam channels). It also has a long sensing range of 7 m (22.966 ft).

Channel-check function: When the channel-check input is connected to 0V, the emission of each channel is stopped successively, one at a time. At this time, the corresponding receiver channels generate an output. This is extremely useful for a start-up check. Interference prevention function: It prevents interference between two sensors installed close to each other. Use this function in applications, such as discriminating object size or sensing position of moving objects, where two sensors are mounted adjacently.
